The Bear & Crown Classic is a 2-Man Best Ball featuring a 36-player field and a bracket-style competition designed to keep the day going long after the opening tee shot.

THE FORMAT

2-Man Best Ball

18 Holes
Winner & Loser Brackets

After the opening round, teams will advance into their respective brackets, giving every team the opportunity to compete for a championship, whether you're fighting for the title or battling your way through the consolation bracket.

9 holes in each bracket.

Two teams will emerge.

One will become the first-ever Bear & Crown Classic Champion.

Transportation

Getting to Chappy is easy, but there are two ferry rides you’ll need to prepare for!

1. Steamship Authority Ferry
First, book your ferry from the mainland to Martha’s Vineyard through the Steamship Authority. You can either bring your car (which would need booking), or leave it at home and travel as a foot passenger with no reservation!

2. Chappaquiddick Ferry
Once you arrive on Martha’s Vineyard, make your way to the Chappaquiddick Ferry in Edgartown. You’ll take the short ferry ride from Edgartown to Chappy.

3. We’ll Take It From There!
Once you arrive on the Chappy side, Big Divots will pick you up and drive you to Royal & Ancient Chappy Links.

Our Recommendation

We're going to host a welcome party Friday night for those making it a weekend trip (at an additional cost TBD), or make it a day trip! You can leave your car at home and come over as a foot passenger.

If you're coming with friends or your team, carpooling is highly encouraged to make transportation easier.

We'll handle the ride from the Chappy ferry to the course, you just need to get yourself to Chappy!
