Overview:
You visit Haverhill for 2 things: Visit a crazy cousin or play some local target golf. This day we did both at Bradford Country Club. Tucked in the Bradford section of Haverhill -
The 18-hole, par 71 course features 6,023 yards of golf designed by Brian Silva. The Murphy Family have been the owners/operators of the course since 2011 and bring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for family and friends to enjoy the game of golf!
You might recall this course on the news back in 2020 when local amateur Nick Macarrio carded a near world record - 15 under 56… HOW AH YA!!
Conditions:
Fairways were plush and this course definitely gets swampy with the rain. We played an early September round right after the greens were punched but still ran smooth & have always run fairly quick in past rounds. A couple of the tee boxes have taken a beating and could use some love.
Layout is undeniably funky, Course is surrounded by housing developments so don’t miss the fairway or you’ll be paying for a new window.
Overall, it is a great course to work on different parts of your game - sneaky challenging but presents opportunities to score.
Value:
Peak season will run you at most $75 w/cart max, they have different membership options that are attractive to locals at a fair price. Tee times fill up pretty quickly like everywhere else so plan ahead.
Atmosphere:
We grabbed some transfusions & the double hot dogs from Shamrock Grille that allegedly makes the best steak and cheese in town… great spot for an after course brew and bite from friendly staff.
A special thank you to Kevin Murphy for having us out, always a great day at BCC.
